Well it's official: the world is about to end. As we all know, scientific evidence is not needed when you have faith, and therefore it appears that our days (or rather hours at this point) are numbered. If you haven't already, get ready! Remember when the world ended on Y2K? It was bad. Not to mention when the world ended in May of last year. Peace out!

Sibel Edmonds is the founder and President of the National Security Whistleblowers Coalition (NSWBC), and runs the independent website Boiling Frogs Post. During her time working for the FBI in 2001-2002, she reported on serious acts of misconduct within the Bureau, and was subsequently retaliated against, and fired. After a long battle, she published the book Classified Woman: The Sibel Edmonds Story, earlier this year. Her courage and willingness to fight for justice are traits that are to be admired, and we were very pleased to have the opportunity to speak with her on the podcast. Enjoy!

SECOND EPISODE OF THE DAY! As a bonus for the weekend, we present to you Episode 35: The Cancer of the Capitalist Economic System, with David Barsamian. David is the award-winning founder and director of Alternative Radio, and is perhaps best known for his best-selling books with Noam Chomsky. In this short yet highly informative interview, we discuss the current landscape of alternative media, whether reform or axing is needed for our current political structures, and why the world's monetary system and its associated culture is cancerous to life itself.

Back in September, we spoke to former CIA asset Susan Lindauer (here and here), in an interview that generated a lot of discussion online. Ms. Lindauer's story, which completely counteracts the idea that there was no specific intelligence regarding the 9/11 attacks in advance, was received extremely positively by the majority of our audience. With some message board chatter centering around questions of credibility, we decided to give her the opportunity to set the record straight on her CIA involvement, and in particular, a character assassination piece on her ran by the New York Times in April 2004. Susan also picks up her story from where she left off last time, and touches on the Patriot Act and the NDAA 2012. A great episode as ever so check it out, and spread the word!

Professor Noam Chomsky is a hugely eminent philosopher, author, activist, linguist, and public speaker whose career has spanned close to seven decades. Guy Evans of the Smells Like Human Spirit Podcast traveled to MIT in Cambridge, MA for a thirty minute interview, in which the following topics were discussed:

-Western nations' use of 'necessary illusions' to control the attitudes and opinions of their citizens;

-How tactics of propaganda, spearheaded by Edward Bernays, eventually manifested into the advertising industry;

-Woodrow Wilson and his mission to turn a pacifist public into jingoist warmongers;

-The general goal of commercial advertising which is to undermine markets, creating uninformed consumers making irrational choices;

-Barack Obama's victory in the 2008 Presidential Election, and why it can be seen as much as a marketing campaign as a political one;

-How the commitment of commercial advertising to undermine markets leads to attempts to undermine democracy;

-The tone of political activism in the 1960's, and its resemblance, at least in visibility, to the political movements of recent times;

-Martin Luther King - how he was villifed, how he is now remembered, and what he did following the 'I Have A Dream' speech;

-The actions of President Kennedy in escalating the Vietnam War and the antiwar movement that followed;

-The political movements, including campaigns for Global Justice, that set the stage for the Occupy movement;

-Potential environmental catastrophe, and why its threat is multiplied due to the 'profit over people' ethic dominating the world today;

-The continued possibility of nuclear war, and why a very straightforward solution to this issue is being prevented by the U.S./Israel relationship.

"We vote every day, not in same meaningless election, but in who we choose to associate with, what we choose to spend our money on, what we choose to invest our time and energy doing. This is the essence of freedom." - James Corbett

Ian Henshall is an activist for the Reinvestigate 9/11 movement, and author of a number of books on the subject, most recently 9:11: The New Evidence. In this interview, we discuss the fear of terrorism that has become the major mechanism for social control in the 21st Century, 9/11 specifically (including what the clearest red flags are with the 'official' story), and his thoughts on the derogatory term 'conspiracy theory'.

Ian is running a conference with 'Accountable Democracy' in London on Saturday November 10th (for the PDF flyer click here). Guests at the conference will include Cynthia McKinney (via Skype) and Guardian journalist Dan Glazebrook so be sure to be there if you can!
